Today marks one year since the passing of Kevin Conroy, the actor whose voice performance gave Batman a level of depth and heart that was inimitable and has significantly contributed to the character's evolution and popularity.
It feels fitting to share once again his very personal contribution to DC's annual Pride Anthology, in which he describes his relationship with the character of Batman, as well as his struggles as a gay actor seeking work in the time of the AIDS epidemic and his personal history with grief and loss, with a touching amount of sincerity and vulnerability.
